Hex Drill Bits
Hex Drive or Hex Shank Drill Bits are a type of drill bit that is designed with a hexagonal shank, instead of the traditional round shank found on most drill bits.
These drill bits are commonly used with impact drivers, cordless drills, and other power tools that have a hexagonal chuck design. The hexagonal shape provides a secure non-slip grip within the chuck reducing the chances of slippage during drilling. It is also well suited to quick tool changes or high-impact and high-torque drilling, which is quite common in construction, woodworking, metal working and the industrial environment.
The Alpha HSS Impact Hex Drive Drill Bit has a ¼” quick change with Titanium Nitride Coating which reduces lubricity for extended life. It is ideal for steel, wood, plastic and stainless steel and suits power drills and impact drivers. Alternatively Alpha also stocks a Hex Drill Changeable version which fits any standard jobber or straight shank drill bit into a ¼” quick-change adaptor.
Alpha has a diverse selection of drill bits which encompass a variety of different types and functionalities including jobber drill bits, reduced shank, long drill bits, sets and kits, single and double-end panel drills, stub drills, morse taper shank drills, screw extractor bits, spot weld drills and step drills.
